Partner Success Manager

Position Summary

Virtuous is looking for a motivated, and purposeful sales or marketing professional with experience in nonprofit management, fundraising or tech to join our growing Community team.

As the first Partner Success Manager, you’ll help develop and scale our partner ecosystem to better serve and support nonprofits.

You’ll be responsible for cultivating our current partners to expand the value we create together, and assist in growing our partner ecosystem. Your main goal will be to work hand-in-hand with our partners to identify areas of shared value and generate revenue opportunities for Virtuous.

You’ll report to and partner with the Director of Partnerships & Community on three (3) primary focus areas: partner cultivation, partner enablement, and community expansion.


Partner Cultivation

  • Build and cultivate lasting, meaningful relationships with the Virtuous partner community, including technology platforms, networks/associations, agencies, resellers, and other consultants
  • Meet and exceed pipeline as well as revenue quota from your portfolio of partners
  • Create strategy plans with partners to map out sales activation, events, co-marketing, and other collaboration that leads to pipeline growth
  • Plan, manage, and lead sales activation events with partners in regional areas that gather prospects and customers
  • Assist Sales team in coordinating and closing partner-driven opportunities to ensure we meet and exceed close rate targets
  • Collaborate with the Director of Community to develop and manage the partner pipeline

Partner Enablement

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Success teams to identify high value opportunities and create partner enablement content and infrastructure
  • Develop and lead partner onboarding and on-going training programs to equip partners to showcase the Virtuous platform, share our unique values, and amplify the responsive fundraising methodology
  • Understand our vision, solution, product roadmap, and go-to-market strategy and effectively communicate these throughout our partner network
  • Prepare tailored presentation materials and conduct presentations/demos to train and assist partners

Community Expansion

  • Identify and cultivate potential partners that align with our ideal partner profile to meet and exceed our growth targets
  • Collaborate with other Community team members to coordinate and maximize regional events, industry conferences, and partner events to meet and exceed pipeline targets
  • Participate in continuously improving our Partner program and go-to-market strategy
  • Collaborate with the Community and Marketing teams to establish the right campaigns, offerings, or promotions that help achieve results


  • 3+ years working with nonprofits and/or SaaS, and 3+ years experience in partnerships, sales, or similar field
  • A creative mindset with a willingness to push beyond defined constraints to expose unseen opportunities within partnerships
  • Blended “hunter/farmer” mindset with the ability to cultivate partner referral opportunities while also cultivating long-term partner relationships
  • Know all data has a story and you have a knack for teasing this out and presenting it in a concise way.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 35%)
