Product UX & Graphic Designer

Position Summary

Virtuous is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented product and marketing designer with proven success translating conceptual product ideas into intuitive UX and visual designs.

The ideal person will be interested in creative brainstorming, conceptual design, visual communication, information visualization, prototypes, and more. They have a bias toward action and a naturally inquisitive nature. You’ll report into the marketing team, and play a vital role in designing the visual interpretation of our brand, product marketing, and product UI.

You’ll Be Responsible To:

You’ll work with cross-functional teams and should be able to handle multiple tasks at once from different sources of accountability and meet milestones or deadlines with minimal supervision. This requires a bias toward action, flexibility, comfort operating without hand-holding, and being fairly fun to be around.

Daily responsibilities vary widely from project to project, and will include product UX design, product marketing design, product pitch design, web/print/email design, etc. You’ll also work with management to design graphics/prototypes and presentation assets that communicate Virtuous’ platform offerings. This includes providing design guidance to software engineers, assisting with translating feature / function stories into tangible visual design UI elements and design comps and marketing assets.

Things You’ll Need:

  • 4+ years of proven experience working on graphic visual, and/or product design
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication with strong ability to communicate ideas within small groups and the larger team, and experience within a distributed team.
  • Ability to thrive working on multiple projects and pivot quickly as needed within a fast-paced organization with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Experience in collaborating for the overall visual design execution of creative projects, and an appreciation for feedback and team collaboration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design principles and typography.
  • Passion for design and a creative problem-solving skills; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve
  • Web experience with HTML, CSS, and WordPress required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Studio, Sketch, and/or Figma required.
  • Experience with photography, illustration, and video editing is a strong plus.
