The world you fundraise in has changed. The ways people communicate and connect have shifted, and expectations have evolved. Other sectors, from fitness and finance to education and entertainment, have adapted by becoming more personalized and delivering responsive experiences. However,  nonprofits face unique challenges as they attempt to grow funding and expand impact in light of these changes.

The traditional fundraising techniques the sector relies on were built for a world that no longer exists. It’s time to dismantle the status quo and commit to build better.

Virtuous will bring together some of the world’s most forward-thinking fundraisers and nonprofit thought leaders to take on these challenges for our fifth Responsive Nonprofit Summit held virtually October 20-22, 2021.

The summit will feature the theme, “Build Better.” Speakers from across the sector will present on best practices and responsive fundraising strategies to help nonprofits build better teams, systems, and relationships with their supporters in the modern world.

“In the last 18 months, both the necessity of nonprofit organizations and the weaknesses of traditional fundraising approaches have been highlighted like never before,” says Virtuous CMO Noah Barnett. “Nonprofits who remain handcuffed to outdated systems limit their growth and ability to deliver responsive experiences that today’s donors expect. Organizations who take a responsive fundraising approach will build better teams and better systems, but even more importantly, better relationships with their supporters. They’ll drive increased impact with confidence. That’s what’s necessary for nonprofits to thrive in 2021 and beyond.”

The summit marks a moment of growth for Virtuous. In recent months, we’ve expanded our team, customer base, and platform, seeking to build better service and systems for more nonprofits.

The Virtuous Team

Virtuous has almost doubled the size of its team since January 2021 in order to serve more nonprofits. We’ve added members to the development, data migration, customer success, marketing, product, people operations, and sales teams. Across the board, Virtuous is growing, with nonprofit transplants, technical experts, and passionate professionals coming together to help charities reimagine generosity.

The Virtuous Community

More nonprofits joined the Virtuous users community this year, as we continued to expand to serve healthcare, faith-based, and cause and community organizations across the country and around the world. These nonprofit teams are able to increase their fundraising while reducing the time they spend on back-office tasks, leaving more time to spend building relationships with their supporters.

The Virtuous Platform

This year, Virtuous has continued to grow its platform, making good on our declaration of being “more than a CRM.” We launched a payment processing platform built for nonprofits and designed to close the gap between fundraising and finance, added professional fundraiser tooling that includes gift pipeline, moves management automation, task and collaboration management, and more, became HIPPA compliant to better serve healthcare nonprofits and hospital foundations, and expanded our giving experience platform. Events and ticketing will be released by the end of 2021.
